Lowrey organ leslie speaker3/16/2024 ![]() ![]() Would there really be any advantage of taking the solid state amp out of the organ to use with this leslie?ģ. So, what if I just fed it with the speaker output of a guitar amp? Add 120 for the motor and I'm good to go.Ģ. This leslie uses the Lowrey's amp, and that amp also powers two additional speakers. In the case of every hammond or other organ I've seen, they already have an amp. I don't really understand why the bad-ass (122/142 etc) leslies need their own amps. I measured the 5 pin connector w/ the organ powered up and found the 120AC pin, 2 ground pins and 2 other pins that have no voltage reading but I imagine are the signal lines for the leslie's speaker.Īnyway, I have a couple questions concerning possibly turning this into something I can use for guitar, cheapie keyboards, and vocals.ġ. Written on the Leslie is the model number 10LX-2S (which google turned up virtually nothing about) It's a solid state one called "The Virtuoso" It doesn't sound all that great and there's a bunch of issues, so today I pulled out the Leslie. I found a Lowrey Organ awhile back on the street. ![]()
